Celebrating the Class of 2023
The running club is so grateful for the Class of 2023. They have left their mark on the running club by creating a running community unlike any other and have brought the team to new heights.
Claire Reid - Journalism
Claire has taught the team the importance of running slow in practice in order to run fast in races. As Vice President during 2021-2022 and Secretary during the 2022-2023, she has served the club in numerous ways. She has run 26 races for the club and also holds the records for the 2nd fastest Marathon and 3rd fastest 5K in club history.
Shea Aquilano - Neuroscience and Behavior
Shea has brought long distance running to the club and has instilled a passion of running. Shea has run 7 races for the club, and holds club records in the marathon, half-marathon, and 6K. She is an exceptional ultra-marathon runner and has gone from club to team USA. She is competing for the US as part of the US Long Trail Team at the World Mountain & Trail Running Championships in Innsbruck, Austria.
Nate Moller - Chemical Engineering
Mitchell Jacob - Chemical Engineering
Mark Schermerhorn - Computer Science
Meredith Meyer - Theology, Philosophy, and Peace Studies
Meredith has brought the connection of faith and running to the club. As Women's Vice President during 2020-2021, she has created a positive team culture where everyone feels welcomed, no matter who they are or what their pace is.
Max Petrosky - MBA
As a graduate student, Max is not only fast, but is a role model and team dad. Through his love of the sport, he has shared his skills with the team whether it be running, photography, or what others are concerned about. He has run 7 races for the club, has the record for the 8K and the second fastest time for the 5 mile in club history.
Connor Evans - Ph.D. Mechanical Engineering
Connor is in his final steps towards earning a Ph.D. this fall. As Race Coordinator for the 2019-2021 seasons, he has brought numerous ideas to the club that we are so grateful for. He has run 23 races for the club, holds the fastest time for the 4x400, 4x800 and SMR. He also has the 2nd fastest time for the 400 and 3K steeplechase.

Thank You
The graduates have done so much for the club, and it would not be the same without them. Now let's celebrate them and look forward to welcoming a brand new freshmen class this coming year! Whether, you just want to run for fun a few days a week or want to make team USA, we have a spot for you!
